C-Trap™ SR installed at Northeastern University

C-Trap® SR installed at Northeastern University

We are happy to have installed a C-Trap® SR, our optical tweezers-STED nanoscope, in shared lab space for an interdisciplinary group led by Prof. Mark Williams at Northeastern University, in Massachusetts, USA.

The lab of Prof. Williams is highly regarded as one of the leaders of single-molecule analysis, making us even more proud of this installation. The lab focuses mainly on the interactions between DNA and proteins that take place during crucial cell processes such as DNA replication and transcription. During these processes, DNA is often densely covered with various interacting proteins. Confocal fluorescence microscopy is usually unable to distinguish proteins in very close proximity to one another. We are confident that the super-resolution capabilities of the C-Trap SR will allow these researchers to resolve these individual proteins.

We wish success to Prof. Williams and his team of single-molecule experts with their continued research.

Do you also want to probe and visualize DNA-protein interactions with a resolution of < 35 nm? Feel free to contact us for a demo or a quote, download the brochure or even better, meet our application scientists at one of the conferences we are attending.
