An AFS™ system was installed in the lab of Professor Andreas Janshoff at the Department of Biophysical Chemistry at the University of Göttingen, Germany. Together with the team of Professor Claudia Steinem (Institute for Organic and Biomolecular Chemistry), the Janshoff group will use it to investigate the properties of and interactions between proteins and biological membranes, as well as the role that biomechanics play in cellular regulation and dynamics.
