Business Development

Within our office, we have 2 C-Trap systems to show the world the possibilities in single-molecule experiments.  Your role will be to give demonstrations of LUMCIKS’ technology to future customers and supporting LUMICKS for internal stakeholders by doing the experiments. Additionally, you will train and give education to new LUMICKS employees and give support to external scientists that use the system.

As an immunology application scientist and business developer, you are responsible for the development of the novel and breakthrough z-Movi application between LUMICKS and its strategic partners.

You will aid in the development of new applications within the immunobiology world, as well as assist PI’s in current applications in which the z-MoviTM has proven to be a revolutionary and highly enabling technology. Meanwhile, you are responsible for strategic business development: finding and engaging new strategic partners to ensure the success of the z-Movi cell cytometry application. This includes exploring novel fields relevant to immunobiology in which our technology can provide a significant impact. Hence, you connect easily to PhD and PI level researchers in fields such as biology and immunology through a clear understanding of their technical and application needs.

As an Application Scientist, you are part of LUMICKS’ Business Development team and develop long-term business potential by exploring new areas of application for LUMICKS’ instruments for single-molecule research.

You are responsible for developing business opportunities by interacting with potential customers in meetings and (conference) presentations. You connect easily to PhD and PI level researchers in different areas of fundamental biology through a clear understanding of their technical and application needs. You use your hands-on technical skills to perform test experiments requested by potential customers. All-in-all you act as the trusted advisor to potential customers throughout the evaluation process

As a Customer Success Scientist, you are part of the Customer Success team within LUMICKS and responsible to support scientists in their research using LUMICKS’ Acoustic Force Spectroscopy technology.

You support customers from top labs globally, in achieving their research goals, addressing potential issues if they arise, and are pro-actively further developing the instrument and technology. In addition, you interact with existing and new customers in meetings, (conference) presentations, and experiments. You connect easily to PhD and PI level researchers in different areas of fundamental biology through a clear understanding of their technical and application needs. You use your hands-on technical skills to set up and perform test experiments requested by customers. All-in-all you act as the trusted advisor and  Subject Matter Expert to customers throughout the evaluation process and make them successful in their scientific goals.

Marketing

As the marketing coordinator, you will be responsible for all marketing activities for LUMICKS’ newest product line: the z-Movi® Cell Avidity Analyzer. Being part of the global marketing team and working closely with our application scientists you will develop and execute marketing strategies aimed at increasing brand awareness, brand value, and growing our customer base. You will work in a young, dynamic, and rapidly-growing team serving Academia, Biotech, and Pharma companies in the immuno-oncology market.

Operations

As Field Service Engineer you are responsible for the installation and service of LUMICKS complex equipment at customer sites. In this role, you communicate directly with the customer and you represent the company to the customer. LUMICKS is a fast-growing and fast-learning organization. We continuously incorporate the learnings and experience from the field installations and service actions into our product design. You contribute to the development process by giving input to improve ease of installation and product robustness for the next generation of products. The role will involve travel to customer sites around the world.

Location: The Netherlands, Boston, or Beijing

In this role, you are the first customer contact for technical and application support questions. You help the customer with their issues, backed by the service and R&D team at LUMICKS. Furthermore, you take ownership to drive long term global customer satisfaction by interacting directly with customers and driving execution of service and support to the highest possible standards. This requires technical skills and a thorough understanding of the instruments as well as a knowledge of basic biology. Your knowledge will grow in the function over time and train new team members in the future.

Research & Development

As a Product Engineer Dynamic Single-Molecule (DSM) you will be involved in designing products and their corresponding manufacturing processes. You also will be responsible for transitioning the product from design to manufacturing at scale. The Product Engineer is an important stakeholder for the R&D development team and also for the manufacturing team. Furthermore, the Product Engineer is the interface to the suppliers of the critical (optical, mechanical and electrical) components of the C-trap and m-Trap.

The Product Engineer is involved in the entire lifecycle of product development – from planning, designing, and selection of materials, prototyping, testing, and manufacturing. Within LUMICKS the Product Engineer has to design & build the product in a cost-effective manner without compromising on the quality

The R&D Associate Scientist Immunology is a critical role in the development of LUMICKS’s business and technology. The AS will join our Immunology Workflow Development team, in a role which will focus on driving expansion of our z-Movi system and assay portfolio through the execution of laboratory work. Together with the z-Movi team you are aiming to improve the quality of cancer treatments with immunotherapy by developing novel instruments for IO research. We are looking for a candidate experienced in cellular assays with a strong background in immunology cell-based assays, like cell culture and lymphocyte-cell isolation, cell killing assays, FACS measurements. You will work with different cell types like adherent and suspension cells as well as with primary cell cultures. A successful candidate will be a technically skilled, hands-on, extremely detail oriented, and a thorough cell biologist with a commitment to scientific excellence and the ability to work cross-functionally in an interdisciplinary team.

As an Application development Scientist you develop new LUMICKS product and product features to create impact and unlock market potential. You are part of the R&D workflow team and take part of multidisciplinary projects that aim to develop new applications, new product features or improve existing products. Within these projects you are responsible for ensuring product workflow specifications align with market requirements that are set by the Product Manager. Application development scientists typically have a specialization in Biophysics and a good understanding of Single Molecule force spectroscopy.

The Immunology Application Development Scientist is a critical role in the development of LUMICKS’s technology. The scientist will join our Research and Development department, in a role which will focus on driving expansion of our z-Movi assay portfolio through the execution of laboratory work. We are looking for a candidate experienced in protocol development with a strong desire to develop novel and robust experimental workflows targeting the field of immuno-oncology. A successful candidate will be a technically skilled, hands-on, immunology expert with a commitment to scientific excellence and the ability to work cross-functionally to execute complex projects and communicate efficiently with team members across several disciplines.
As an immunology application development scientist, you will be responsible for the development of novel z-Movi cell-based applications. You will establish and perform groundbreaking experiments at LUMICKS as well as in collaboration with the company’s strategic partners.

You will take ownership in the development of the z-Movi technology within the framework of immunology and immuno-oncology protocol development. You will work within the z-Movi R&D team to validate system performance and develop user workflows and protocols for z-Movi customers and the Sales team.
