Business Development

As a Customer Success Scientist, you are part of the Customer Success team within LUMICKS and responsible to support scientists in their research using LUMICKS’ Acoustic Force Spectroscopy technology.

You support customers from top labs globally, in achieving their research goals, addressing potential issues if they arise and are pro-actively further developing the instrument and technology. In addition, you interact with existing and new customers in meetings, (conference) presentations and experiments. You connect easily to Ph.D. and PI level researchers in different areas of fundamental biology through a clear understanding of their technical and application needs. You use your hands-on technical skills to set up and perform test experiments requested by customers. All-in-all you act as the trusted advisor and  Subject Matter Expert to customers throughout the evaluation process an make them successful in their scientific goals.

Marketing

LUMICKS is currently the fastest growing high-tech company in the Amsterdam area. As the marketing intern, you will be responsible for setting up the marketing strategy in China and for growing our customer base in the Asia Pacific Region. Together with the customer success team, you will create high-quality and high-impact content to engage our customers, build a strong brand in China and create interest in LUMICKS’ instruments in the region. You will join our team in the HQ in Amsterdam for a minimum of 5 months.

Operations

In this role, you are the first customer contact for technical and application support questions. You help the customer with their issues, backed by the service and R&D team at LUMICKS.

Furthermore, you take ownership to drive long term global customer satisfaction by interacting directly with customers and driving execution of service and support to the highest possible. This requires technical skills and a thorough understanding of the instruments as well as a knowledge of basic biology. Your knowledge will grow in the function over time and train new team members in the future. You will be working closely together with the R&D team of z-Movi and LUMICKS will launch this instrument in 2020.

Research & Development

Role

As an Application development Scientist you develop new LUMICKS product and product features to create impact and unlock market potential. You are part of the R&D workflow team and take part of multidisciplinary projects that aim to develop new applications, new product features or improve existing products. Within these projects you are responsible for ensuring product workflow specifications align with market requirements that are set by the Product Manager. Application development scientists typically have a specialization in Biophysics and a good understanding of Single Molecule force spectroscopy.

Reporting directly to the Sales Director, the Sr. Sales Manager will assume overall responsibility for the sales of all LUMICKS products throughout the east coast. You drive sales opportunities forward in both industry (pharma, biotech) and academia while working with the Business Development team to create pipeline and teaming up with product managers to execute a successful global Sales and Marketing strategy.

LUMICKS has come to market as the supplier of instruments for dynamic single-molecule and cell research – a rapidly evolving niche in the fundamental biology research field. Our high-performance instruments allow for the investigation into the fundamental cause of disease and the potential for drug optimization.
