Last week we organized two dynamic single-molecule workshops in the North and South of China – one at Tsinghua University in Beijing, and another at Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU). Both workshops included in-depth lectures exploring different state-of-the-art single-molecule applications and hands-on demonstrations of the C-Trap® Optical Tweezers – Fluorescence & Label-free Microscopy technologies.
With the help of our Application Scientists, the participants got to test their own samples and do experiments on DNA mechanics, DNA-protein interactions, protein unfolding, and protein droplets. The latter was using fluorescently labeled DNA-binding proteins involved in DNA repair, which was a first for us!
We would like to express our gratitude to Prof. Shi and Prof. Ma for hosting the workshops and for their inspiring talks, and of course many thanks to all scientists who joined us!
Do you want to find out how C-Trap® can benefit your research? Keep an eye on our workshop page for upcoming workshops at different locations around the world!
