Kitchen Assistant

Introduction

LUMICKS is looking for a kitchen-assistant to join the Kitchen team in our office in Amsterdam from April 2025. Your task is to ensure that the kitchen is a place where LUMIs gather to refuel and enjoy their healthy and fresh lunches. You will work closely together with the Chef and will support the Chef to prepare rotating, fresh menus, serve lunches and keep all working areas clean and organized. This is a part-time position, for 32 hours a week (Monday – Friday)

What are my tasks and responsibilities?

Ensure healthy & nutritious lunch: daily meal prep, cooking & cleaning
Prepping & serving lunch
Cleaning around/after lunch rush
Taking care of the dishwashing area
Deliveries and returns
Responsible for coffee bars on 4 floors
Assists with setting up and follows procedures (e.g. cleaning, safety, waste (HACCP compliant))
Assisting with other kitchen tasks while team member is on vacation

You have good working knowledge of HACCP
You have great organizing skills
You work quickly and efficiently
You are service-oriented and provide service with a smile
Excellent English (written and verbal) communication skills
A team player, forward-thinking, energetic, enthusiastic, and proactive
Available for 5 days a week
