LUMICKS is proud that Tianjin University, China, is now equipped with both a C-Trap® Optical Tweezers-Fluorescence Microscopy and AFS™ Parallel Single-Molecule Force Spectroscopy. The systems are installed in the State Key Laboratory of Precision Measurement Technology and Instruments.
Both systems will contribute to the research on processes involved in protein unfolding pathways. First, the C-Trap provides information about protein folding and unfolding in real time, at the single molecule level and with high resolution. Second, the AFS enables the researchers to probe thousands of proteins in parallel, allowing statistical analysis of the folding pathways based on a single experiment.
We wish the users success with their experiments and are excited to see their results!
