Sr. Sales Account Manager – Immunology – Mid Atlantic

Introduction

Reporting to the Director of Business Development, the Sr. Sales Account Manager will assume overall responsibility for the sales of the z-Movi Cell Avidity Analyzer and related products within an assigned territory. This role has a tremendous outlook in driving sales opportunities forward in both industry (pharma, biotech) and academia, by working closely with field applications to execute a successful global Sales and Marketing strategy.

Intensive travel is part of the daily routine, together with operating our highly sophisticated instrument in research labs. This is a vital position where compelling communication is a must to create urgency and excitement, driving demonstrations, and hitting our sales goals. You will work in close coordination with Director of Business Development to ensure these goals are met.

What are my tasks & responsibilities?

  • Define and drive game plan for each for each customer, identify key influencers and purchasing PIs for each opportunity.
  • Responsible for selling instruments and consumables in Academic Institutions and Biotech/Pharma; Achieve annual sales quota, and close key accounts.
  • Execute sales process, with a focus on key influencers and decision makers to ensure swift revenue generation and deals closing.
  • Attend conferences, acquire and maintain customer relationships.
  • Research (funding, trials, publications etc.) and key contacts for documentation in CRM.
  • Manage time and resources efficiently to perform all responsibilities associated with customers, CRM and other internal processes (training, weekly reviews, etc.).
  • Ability to handle detail, multiple tasks, and short-notice deadlines, with daily reprioritization of work.

What about my skills & competencies?

  • B.S. in Sciences (Immunology, Biology, Biochemistry). Advanced science degree is nice to have and Immunology background/experience is a plus.
  • 5+ years of selling experience in the life science, translational and clinical research markets in US. Experienced account manager in selling instruments, capital in life science academic and biopharma markets.
  • Experience in selling novel technology and gaining new accounts a plus.
  • Candidate must create a game plan for each of the major accounts/customers, identify key influencers and purchasing PIs for each opportunity.
  • Strong Organization and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and high degree of integrity.
  • High energy, self-starter to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player working closely with Marketing, FAS, and other departments within the Company. Open and constant communication is essential.
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems.
  • Proficient in PC software applications. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
