Social Media Manager

Full-time position


In this role you will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing the overall social media strategy in order to support and improve online presence, branding, and digital marketing efforts. You’ll work closely with regional marketing, content marketing, product management, public relations, and HR teams to build out a strong presence and messaging across our social media platforms. You will be responsible for creating and implementing the editorial calendar, setting up and meeting targets, and for the delivery of goals for LUMICKS’ presence in social media channels. The ideal candidate will be able to think strategically and design an approach, writing style, and creatively ideate ways to break through and engage, but also have an operational mindset to build out a social media channel structure and content process.

What about my skills & competencies?

  • 3-5 years of deep technical understanding and social media management experience.
  • A degree in marketing or life-science related fields.
  • Hands-on experience with Ads Manager, Dynamic Creative Optimization, Split Testing across LinkedIn and Twitter Ads.
  • Exhibits the ability to jump from the creative side to the analytical side.
  • Expertise in Excel / Google Sheets, VLOOKUP’s, pivot tables, formulas, etc.
  • Strong writing, oral presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in using multi-social posting programs.


What are my tasks & responsibilities?

  • Create, develop, and manage social media activities, focused on measurable results for LUMICKS brand and product portfolios.
  • Create actionable plans to both grow and maintain followers through popular social media platforms, such as Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, and region-specific platforms.
  • Supervise all aspects of social media interaction between customers and the company and ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Develop and implement social media strategy including playbooks, audience, definition/segmentation recommendations, editorial guidelines, and social media voice/persona.
  • Manage, edit, and oversee social media content.
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies.
  • Work in a multidisciplinary team with copywriters, designers, product marketers, and regional marketing coordinators.
  • Lead internal efforts to refine and improve social media processes.
