Reporting directly to the VP of Sales, the Sales Manager will assume overall responsibility for the sales of all LUMICKS products. You drive sales opportunities forward in both industry (pharma, biotech) and academia while working with the Business Development team to create a pipeline and teaming up with product managers to execute a successful global Sales and Marketing strategy.

Perform scientific experiments and demonstrations with Optical Tweezers-Fluorescence microscopes on different types of biological assays; perform scientific demonstrations of Lumicks’ C-Trap system at universities and pharmaceutical research laboratories, and determine the appropriate application of the C-Trap system for the universities and pharmaceutical research laboratories; provide assistance to customers with the installation of Lumicks’ instruments as well as training and ongoing support; develop and present technical papers at professional conferences; contribute to the development of written scientific material. Requires Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biophysics or Nanoscience and Nanoengineering. Requires approximately 50% per month incidental traveling to universities, pharmaceutical research laboratories, professional conferences and to customer locations in the Midwest region of the United States.
