Full-time position


As the Marketing Communications Specialist, you will be the owner of the local marketing strategy and tactics to elevate LUMICKS brands with our customers and new potential customers.  You will be part of the core global marketing team (based in Amsterdam) but located in the US. Working closely with the core marketing team you will design and own the marketing strategy and tactics locally for both of our product families: Dynamic Single-Molecule (DSM) and Cell Avidity (CA) instruments and supporting products.

It’s an exciting role touching many different parts of the organization including all marketing functions, all sales functions as well as both business units.  You will be a key interface between the customer, sales, and the business units which will require the deployment of their strategies and tactics across all communications channels.  It will be your job to analyze the campaigns across the various channels to ensure the best return on investment for your market as well as to adapt and change in the short term to make campaigns more effective. It is expected that you would coordinate with customers, particularly key opinion leaders, to arrange events and co-marketing efforts.

It is also expected that you lead the planning, organizing, and execution of all conferences, webinars and trade shows in the region, including key messaging, awareness and lead-gen activities; overseeing booth design and construction and ensuring all logistics to a flawless implementation of the event.

What are my tasks & responsibilities?

  • Develop and implement the regional marketing plan in support of the go-to-market strategies for our DSM and CA businesses.
  • Coordinate with the global marketing team to drive successful implementation of marketing and branding programs.
  • Execute marketing initiatives and campaigns using a combination of different channels (newsletters, advertisements, social media, conferences, webinars, user meetings, marketing automation, etc.).
  • Create and adapt marketing materials (advertisements, flyers, website content, and social media posts) to effectively engage our markets.
  • Perform market analysis to get strategic insights for the region
  • Support business development and sales teams in customer outreach.
  • Manage all local conferences and events, such as user meetings, conferences, webinars, and workshops.
  • Coordinate with Key Opinion Leaders to drive Peer-to-Peer marketing.
  • In-depth analysis of the performance of all marketing communications to ensure maximum return on investment.

What about my skills & competencies?

  • 5+ years of experience in the marketing of life science products with a particular focus on complex capital equipment.
  • A track record of developing multi-channel marketing campaigns focused on demand generation, branding, and nurture marketing programs
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • BSc degree or higher, in an appropriate life science field.
  • Experience with event management preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and professional demeanor.
  • Motivated, self-driven, goal-oriented, energetic work ethic, and an outstanding team player.
  • Strong organizational skills, and ability to multitask.
  • Ability and interest to travel extensively.
  • Travel requirement up to 40%.
