Demolab Application Scientist DSM

Full-Time position

Introduction

Within our office, we have 2 C-Trap systems to show the world the possibilities in single-molecule experiments.  Your role will be to give demonstrations of LUMCIKS’ technology to future customers and supporting LUMICKS for internal stakeholders by doing the experiments. Additionally, you will train and give education to new LUMICKS employees and give support to external scientists that use the system.

Location: The Netherlands

What are my tasks & responsibilities?

  • Plan and discuss experiments with external customers
  • Perform, interpret and analyze the data obtained by single-molecule experiments
  • Teaching and training new employees and customers  LUMICKS’ Technology
  • Make sure the Demo lab is running smoothly e.g. coordination of agenda and experiments
  • Write, present and report data to external customer
  • Support on developing new Applications and writing protocol with Application Scientists
  • Updating support protocols for external customers

What about my skills & competencies?

  • Master-level degree in life sciences(Nanobiology/ Biophysics or Applied Physics)
  • Affinity for high-end technology
  • 0-1 year hands experience in the lab and doing experiments
  • Familiar data analyzing and programming in Matlab or Python
  • Strong in communication with external and internal clients.
