Application Development Associate Scientist – Cell Avidity

Full-Time position


The Application Development Associate Scientist (Immuno-Oncology/Cell Avidity) is a critical role in the development of LUMICKS’s business and technology. The AS will join our Immunology Workflow Development team, in a role that will focus on driving expansion of our z-Movi® system and assay portfolio through the execution of laboratory work. Together with the z-Movi team, you are aiming to improve the quality of cancer treatments with immunotherapy by developing novel instruments for IO research. We are looking for a candidate experienced in cellular assays with a strong background in immunology cell-based assays, like cell culture and lymphocyte-cell isolation, cell killing assays, FACS measurements. You will work with different cell types like adherent and suspension cells as well as with primary cell cultures. A successful candidate will be a technically skilled, hands-on, extremely detail-oriented, and thorough cell biologist with a commitment to scientific excellence and the ability to work cross-functionally in an interdisciplinary team.

What are my tasks & responsibilities?

  • You will be responsible for carrying out regular reproducibility experiments with high accuracy and precision.
  • Can perform standard immunology laboratory procedures unassisted such as T-cell isolation T-cell expansion, cell killing,FACS measurements, and other typical immunology assays.
  • Detailed experimental documentation and notebook maintenance will be required daily;
  • Regular communication of experimental results and observations to the z-Movi R&D team;
  • Working with Application Development Scientists to establish and execute assays to test the performance of the z-Movi system as it develops

What about my skills & competencies?

  • You have completed an MSc education or equivalent
  • Affinity with complex instrumentation such as FACS analyser;
  • Experience in cell culture maintenance and T-cell isolation
  • You have at least 2 years of work experience in an immunology or cell biology lab in immunology lab work;

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with enzymatic assays (ELISA);
  • Experience with FACS;
