Dynamic Single-Molecule Summer School
August 6-8, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China
Explore the dynamics, structure, and function interplay of biomolecules using state of the art dynamic single-molecule techniques
LUMICKS is organizing the 1st Dynamic Single-Molecule Summer School which will take place at Tsinghua University, Beijing, on August 6-8, 2019.
The Summer School provides in-depth training in both the theory and practice of dynamic single-molecule (DSM) techniques. Here you will explore different state-of-the-art DSM applications and perform hands-on experiments to visualize molecular interactions, measure protein folding & conformational changes, and study single-molecule mechanics, in real-time, with sub-nm and sub-pN resolution. The theory will cover in-depth lectures on how to force measurements, single-molecule fluorescence imaging, and protein unfolding.
Here you will learn how to:
• design assays to study single molecules and
• prepare samples for DSM experiments;
• perform experiments using the most advanced Optical Tweezers –
Fluorescence Microscopy systems currently available;
• analyze and interpret the obtained data.
Seats are limited! Register before July 21 to join the Summer School.
